Robert Fujita

Robert Fujita, who spent his years in the city of New York embarked on a transformative journey that took him to Japan for five impactful years. He has since settled in Canada. 

Within the realm of Venture Capital, at Wailian Investment Group Robert established himself as a force. Playing a role in connecting businesses with promising startups he devised an acquisition strategy that fueled the company’s workforce growth to 150 employees by the end of 2018. His responsibilities involved diligence, precise financial forecasting and strategic oversight for the acquired companies.

Driven by his passion for innovation Robert then spearheaded the establishment of The En Lab—a coworking space in Richmond. Through collaboration with SFU Venture Lab he facilitated ClickDishes expansion into Japan. Forged a partnership with CQREE HOLDINGS.

Simultaneously Robert utilized his expertise to support Higo Venture Inc., a Wagyu Farm based in Kumamoto, Japan—enabling their entry into the market. His efforts included securing a partnership with Gordon Food Service to supply Costco and obtaining a Jakim License (Halal), for the farm.This initiative goes beyond farming by aiming to make Wagyu accessible, to the 21% of the population who were previously unable to enjoy it due to religious practices. 

Robert is a graduate of the University of British Columbia – Sauder School of Business.
