Ray Torresan

Ray is a GTM specialist who helps young businesses transform into market leaders. 

Ray started in the technology sector in 1998 when he co-founded and managed MindfulEye, Inc., an artificial intelligence company whose technology became a standard for determining the meaning and implications of online information. He later co-founded Institute B, a prominent Vancouver-based social enterprise incubator where he was responsible for go-to-market strategies for dozens of companies, many in the tech sector. Before that, Ray was president of Torresan|TCI Communications, one of Vancouver’s best-known marketing and public relations companies, where he personally managed marketing communications for many of BC’s major organizations. 



A recipient of a National Award of Excellence from the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS) for his corporate communications and reputation management work, Ray received his APR (Accredited Public Relations Practitioner) from CPRS and is a past director of its Vancouver chapter. He is also a Certified Advertising Agency Practitioner (CAAP), accredited by the Institute of Canadian Advertising. 



Ray has served as a director of St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver and as past director of the Young Entrepreneurs Organization (Vancouver chapter). He has been a director of numerous private and public companies and is very active in the Vancouver start-up community. He graduated from the British Columbia Institute of Technology’s marketing management program in 1983.
